Stiff

Terms of Use

Last updated 20 October 2026

These terms are between you and GOSUBIT PTY LTD (“we”, “us”), the Australian company that makes Stiff. By using Stiff you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy say how we handle your data.

Who can use Stiff

You must be 18 or older. You need an account, made with your email address or with Sign in with Apple. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@trystiff.com if you think someone else is using it.

Stiff isn’t medical advice

Stiff measures how you move from a short squat scan and suggests stretches. Your Move Age and scores are estimates worked out by software. Stiff doesn’t diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it doesn’t replace a doctor or physiotherapist.

Using Stiff fairly

Don’t misuse Stiff: don’t try to get into another person’s account or our systems, interfere with how Stiff works, get around its limits, send invites to people who don’t want them, use a display name that’s offensive or pretends to be someone else, or copy or resell Stiff. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why unless that would be unsafe or unlawful.

Your name and what friends see

You keep ownership of what you give us. You let us store and show your display name, streak, points, level and badges to the friends you add, so Stiff’s friends features work. Your Move Age, scores and scans are never shown to anyone but you.

Subscriptions and payments

Stiff’s plans are sold through Apple’s App Store, and Apple’s terms and the App Store’s Standard End User License Agreement apply to your purchase and to your licence to use the app. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. A free trial turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple. Deleting your Stiff account doesn’t cancel a subscription.

Changes to Stiff and these terms

We improve Stiff over time, and some features may change or end. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Stiff and delete your account.

Ending

You can stop using Stiff and delete your account at any time from the app (Profile, then Settings, then Delete account). Deletion is permanent.

Your rights under consumer law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law, that can’t lawfully be excluded, restricted or changed. Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded, and the same goes for the mandatory consumer protections where you live.

Our responsibility

We provide Stiff with reasonable care and skill. Apart from the rights described just above, and to the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for loss that wasn’t a reasonably foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our negligence, or for loss caused by things outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales can hear any dispute about them. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere, you still have the protection of the mandatory laws of where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
